How to make Mutton Kadai Recipe

Mutton Kadai is a popular Indian dish that is made with tender pieces of mutton (goat meat) cooked with a blend of spices and peppers. Here's a step-by-step recipe for making delicious Mutton Kadai:

Ingredients:

500g Mutton (goat meat)
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
2 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1 .Wash the mutton pieces thoroughly and drain the water.

2 .Heat oil in a Kadai or a heavy-bottomed pan. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin and coriander seeds and sauté them for a few seconds till they start to splutter.

3 .Add the chopped onions and green chilies and sauté them till they turn golden brown.

4 .Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute till the raw smell goes away.

5 .Add the chopped tomatoes and cook them for 5-7 minutes till they become soft and mushy.

6 .Add the mutton pieces and mix well with the onion-tomato mixture. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Mix everything well and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.

7 .Add 1/2 cup water to the Kadai and cover it with a lid. Let it cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes or till the mutton is cooked and tender.

8 .Once the mutton is cooked, add dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) and mix well.

9 .Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
