1 cup long-grain white rice

1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 3/4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 cup tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1 : Rinse the rice with cold water and drain well.
2 : In a large saucepan or skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
3 : Add the onion and sauté until it is softened and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
4 : Add the garlic, cumin, and chili powder, and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
5 : Add the rice and stir well to coat it with the onion and spice mixture. Cook the rice, stirring frequently, for 2-3 minutes until it begins to turn slightly golden.
