How to make Italian pizza 


Italian pizza is a delicious and popular dish that is enjoyed all over the world. Here is a basic recipe for making Italian pizza at home:


Ingredients:


500g all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp active dry yeast

300ml warm water

2 tbsp olive oil

Tomato sauce (made from crushed tomatoes, garlic, and oregano)

Toppings of your choice (mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, pepperoni, mushrooms, etc.)

Instructions:


1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.


2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl, and stir until a rough dough forms.


3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, and knead for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.


4. Place the dough in a clean, oiled bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for at least an hour, or until it has doubled in size.


5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C), and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.


6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.


7. Transfer the dough to a sheet of parchment paper, and spread the tomato sauce over the top, leaving a border around the edges.


8. Add your desired toppings, and sprinkle the pizza with grated mozzarella cheese.


9. Slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet, and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

. Remove the pizza from the oven, and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving with fresh basil leaves on top.
