Here's a recipe for Pakistani-style chicken noodle soup:
Ingredients:
1 pound chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 cups chicken broth
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups egg noodles
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions:
1 .In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onion is translucent.
2 .Add the chicken to the pot and cook until it's browned on all sides.
3 .Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir everything together.
4 .Pour in the chicken broth and bring everything to a boil. Once it's boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
5 .In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them and set them aside.
6 .Once the chicken is cooked, add the cooked egg noodles to the pot and let everything simmer for another 5 minutes.
7 .Add the cilantro and lemon juice to the pot and stir everything together.
Serve the chicken noodle soup hot and enjoy!
